I and Love and You...serenity
First of all, how lovely that song ends. Okay, a lot from this episode. Can James always direct? I just love all the emotion that seems to come through his directing. Beautifully written too, by Mark, right? Well done.

Sarah and Clay: Oh my gosh, I love Sarah. The actress that plays her is so serene. Clay too, amazing tonight. I loved seeing how they did that first jump and how fast, but real, their romance was. It just clicked so well. Really, I'm so sad she is just in his thoughts because she would be so wonderful for the show. And she made Clay come alive for me tonight. I knew she wasn't really there from the start, but I thought it would be an accident. How did she die? I wasn't sure if they referenced that before. That was just so dramatic and sad. What I love so much too is the background to why Clay became Nathan's agent and now I see why he really does love Nathan and care for him. Before, it felt to me like they rushed it through because of the absence of Lucas, but now it makes so much sense. He chose to represent Nathan because Nathan is such a good person and because Sarah knew how good Clay was and wanted him to work with someone like that. It just showed me tonight big time why Nathan, Haley and Jamie matter so much to Clay and why he is so protective of them. I love that he didn't do it the easy way with the big time sports hero who has a questionable character.

Quinn and David: Ah, the missing pieces. I still love David and the chemistry between him and Quinn is strong. I understood Quinn a lot more tonight too. She felt stronger to me tonight because there was more reason for what she's done and why she's leaving him. I think she tried, after what I saw tonight. But I too think there's more to David than what we saw because it was from her perspective, so I would love to hear David's argument about all this. What he would have to say in this storyline. I really think though they had great chemistry and I like them way more than Quinn and Clay. But then like I said above, Clay and Sarah were golden.

Brooke and Julian: Even their scenes were great, but I just wasn't into them because there was so much more to watch.

Dan: Paul is always stellar and he was again this night. You hate Dan. You love him. You question why you feel any way you do about him because talk about a complex man who is such a monster and yet such a gentle person too at rare times. There are too many sides to Dan to classify him one way. He's just too multi faceted. Killing his brother should have made him the black and white villain and yet the way Paul shows him, I still feel Dan's scenes. They still connect to me emotionally beyond anger. I don't doubt Dan loves Nathan and will protect him always. I really think Nathan is the one person Dan will never allow harmed, but look at the twist tonight, how he did it. He practically embraced Renee. Why? Maybe because he remembered what he did to Karen? Maybe because he chose to raise Nathan with Deb. He has seen two women in his life become pregnant with his child. Possibly it's taken him this long to see how hard that is.

Renee: You know, I wasn't thrilled when she came in, but after she talked more in the first few episodes I felt a little for her. It was since the Haley scenes. She showed more vulnerability in them and maybe a sorrow at what she was doing. I think that's why Haley even started having the thoughts, because Renee didn't come to her totally like some woman with no conscience. Renee does have one and though I don't like what she did and I don't condone it, I like that the show gave us just a bit of her side. And I like how it connected. She probably did sleep with one of those athletes with less character who would cheat or whatever. And she went to Nathan because he was a good person and she thought he would help her out because of that. I like how that all interconnected. I don't think Renee is some great person, but I don't think she was necessarily bad either. She just got in a horrible situation and she picked a very wrong choice and hurt a family that didn't deserve to be put in the middle of it. But I do think she picked Nathan because he was the good one. I think she thought he would be the easy one, that he wouldn't fight it. And she underestimated him.

Nathan Haley: The last notes with that Coda song playing and the image of them outside together just said it all, serenity. I've never felt anything different from NH when they're together and without all the outside world troubles. They're just so serene, calm and loving. All their scenes were wonderfully done and directed. I loved the one outside when Nathan said how strong Haley was because she told him they didn't have to watch. And I love that she said for them not to. Nathan's pains have been interlinked with Dan for so long and he worked so hard to get his career. He just needed to be outdoors with his wife where he didn't have to watch his fate playing out on TV. But my favorite scene probably was when Dan revealed Renee's lie and she finally admitted it. It was so surreal to watch Dan's 'it's okay' comment to a stranger pratically, coincide with Nathan's it's okay' to his wife as she just lost it completely and broke down in his arms. Watch him too, his whole face breaking with relief and near tears of his own. And then later you have her holding him and telling him you know what, they're just young and they can be that. It's okay. I love that she reminded him of that because they were counseled about that before. They were just such a strong unit tonight.

The storyline: Okay, you've heard me lament this one for a while, lol. I still think some moments in it were missed, but with how it rounded out these last two episodes, I'm glad the story was told. And I especially love how it was told tonight. Dan's show worked such in tandem with the moods of all the characters, and of course especially NH. I love that Sarah and Clay were the kind of love you only find once and that it tears you apart so much you want everything for everyone else, but you don't dare try a new love for yourself. I think it's so realistic that Quinn and David simply fell out of love because somewhere they lost who they were or maybe one was seeing the other in a way they never really were. Dan, through everything, knows Nathan so well, and I think will always protect him and always love him. It can be manipulative, but I think Dan is very proud of Nathan, because his son broke the mold even with all the temptation and wrong roads to take along the way. Brooke and Julian are building something new and they're going through all those pains of that, but there was something really gentle in them tonight which followed the whole mood of the episode. And finally, like Sarah and Clay were that whirlwind beautiful love that fate meant to end early, Nathan and Haley are that love that happens so quickly and yet it survives. They persevere through every trial and just grow more connected. There was so much about love in tonight's episode, even Dan and Rachel's strange one. But it ended with NH because they have been through it all and yet the problems above of the other couples, they've always weathered and come through.

Death: Thank goodness they've had their brushes with it, but they've come through them simply by fate meaning something different for them.
Falling out of Love: They were faced with this when Haley toured with Chris and started to be so much of that world. But they came back to each other. And again when Nathan had his accident, they came back to each other.
Young Love: They faced all those trials when they first got married about money, everything really.
Strange Love: Well I don't think they were strange, but it was odd to even me as a watcher that they got married so young and yet...

They persevered and seem to be what you can call eternal love, soul mates even if it sounds cheesy and just best friends. They know each other inside and out and yet they still thrill each other. Saying I love you is not just words but a feeling that fills them with so much life.

So yes, this episode just felt so serene to me, beautifully directed and all. I loved pretty much all of it.

And I am looking forward to the fun of next week.

What did you guys think?

Okay, of all the newcomers to OTH this season, I love David. He's the most real, the best acting, and just...he is so strong in scenes with Nathan and Haley, Jamie etc...

Quinn to me is just too weak and doesn't feel like a James really. I'm not seeing it. I don't feel for her. I think it's ridiculous she gave Jamie a bowl of milk and Oreos and she seems to be running away from everything.

But when David hugged Jamie and talked to Nathan, no matter where this storyline goes, I want more of him. That is one of the best most natural characters this show has had in a while, acted well and everything. This guy can act so good and make it look like he's known the other characters on the show for a long time. It's almost like having someone like Keith back or Jake. He's a keeper. I am so excited when he is on the screen, if you couldn't tell already, lol.

NH: Better tonight definitely. The scenes were longer so that's great. I just hope the emphasis stays on them. I don't want to get too excited because we could have another episode where once again they get the short cut scenes. I'm hoping this is a trend for the rest of the season. The storyline is kind of weak and weird, but it's getting more interesting in some ways and the scenes where NH were really there for each other were so nice.

I like seeing Nathan's growth too, caring about David and Quinn, realizing why Haley has doubts, etc. He's grown big time. And I love that Haley is still such a figter for what is right. That's what I'm probably not enjoying with Quinn. She feels weak, just telling David she can't be with him and then hiding out with Clay. Haley is so opposite that because she hides sometimes yeah, but when her family needs her, she's always there. And what I've always loved about Haley and Nathan, is they fight for marriage. They are so strong about family and love, protecting Jamie etc. Seeing that again tonight, was so nice.

On that note, Jackson rocked it with the vulnerable scenes. I know everyone says he looks more like Lucas, but to me it was like watching a young Nathan, that look on his face when he saw his parents arguing. I could just imagine that was Nathan when Deb and Dan would fight. The difference is of course, Jamie has parents who love him and love each other always. Your heart went out to him though when he wanted Haley to stay with him and all...just excellent scenes from Jackson.

One last David note, lol. I may have missed some, or maybe this was new, the hint that somebody slept with somebody else in their marriage, but whatever happens with that I hope they find a way to keep David on. I know he wasn't in the initial ads but of all these newbies, to me he's the best.

Geesh, I don't know. It's kind of sad I think when I enjoy the show for everyone other than NH. I even like Alex now, lol. Really, I think the actress is funny. And I liked seeing Millie be treated nicely. The music was great too. I'm on the fence with Quinn. I think the actress lacks a little.

But tell me, are Nathan and Clay joined at the hip? lol...some of the time I swear.

And the way this episode ended just totally ticked me off. I don't want to go through another story of if Nathan was with someone or whatever. I don't care about it because in the meantime we barely get conversations and no physical affection. Brooke and Julian, they're like newlyweds, but NH they might as well be near separated. My gosh...can they at least hold hands? It's just so obvious how the writing team don't like writing them as a strong couple. They have such a hard time putting them in those kinds of scenes.

I guess maybe when this is all done we'll get affectionate NH, but can I say too little too late? Because right now it is just poor storytelling. Give them no drama and we have loving scenes that do little to add to the storyline. Use NH as filler basically. Give them drama, and these two can't even relate. Nathan was with Clay in more scenes tonight. When I saw them at TRIC I was thinking, wow...they're even at TRIC togethter. lol, it was hillarious until I noticed Haley sitting next to him finally.

I enjoyed the Nathan Jamie talk...as short it was, but okay, but...what they're doing with NH now is uninspiring. The rest of the show, every scene beyond NH, was pretty much better. I'm not even afraid of the possibility of a cheating storyline, since it's very doubtful this will come to that. Hopefully I'm right to feel that way, but even the Nathan Haley talk where she tells him they're together in this...for some reason this storyline doesn't even feel like it's about NH. It's more about us getting pissed that there's some girl getting in the way of them. That last scene, though I loved Haley punching her...sorry...was horrible. The way they wanted to shock us, that just was awful. Think about it. The focus is not on NH. It's on the whole problem. It's the shock value. And that is so...

Uninspiring.
Thanks so much to those of you who responded to my last comment here and elsewhere, showing your support. I appreciate it so much! I guess we all go through those vulnerable moments. I was having one and it just feels good to know that the creative thing you love to do is appreciated. So thank you. And I will continue my updates and posts of my stories regularly. It's just so nice to know people are reading. Thanks and hugs! You're the best!

TV shows:

I'm enjoying TV lately which isn't always true, lol.

Glee: Oh so funny and quirky and I love music and singing so yay! This is just an awesome original show that I'm enjoying so much.

Merlin: Was on this summer and I'm not sure if it's on this fall, but I was able to order the season 1 set (unofficial, but well made) and I just loved this show. It's such a great take on all the King Arthur story. Merlin and Arthur have a kind of brother type relationship that I enjoy. And I think I'm really liking the hints of Arthur and Guinevere, especially that they made both of them a little different than maybe they seem in the original classical sense.

One Tree Hill: new season and so far I'm pretty much liking what we're getting. I'd like to see NH a little more in scenes together, but hopefully that's coming. I'm enjoying the new additions of Clay and Quinn. I like Clay Nathan scenes, kind of like Nathan Luke scenes. And it is so nice to see Haley with a sister who supports her completely.

The Philanthropist: Is this going to come back? Maybe next summer. I hope it wasn't cancelled. I loved this show!

FlashForward: Whoa! Save the best for last...hah...maybe. Anyway, since the X files this is the most exciting kind of alternative show I've seen in a while. I am so intrigued. That premiere was just full of mystery and scary fun for a viewer. The scenes were so well done and I love that we're getting hints and supposed to put them together to figure out what's going on. This show has me hooked already. Awesome. I

What shows are you guys watching?

Hugs around. Have a great Sunday!

WTWC and Locket Preview
Okay, this is just a preview of what's to come in WTWC. That's the one I'm working on currently. And a pre-preview for The Locket. I'm not currently working on it. That update will be a little later. But when I posted the last one I also wrote about half the next chapter. So a preview of each per a reader's question of what I was working on. lol, ask, and I provide previews.

WTWC readers, get ready for a twist that I am loving writing and think will make the story stronger. The last couple of ones were very dramatic and sad really. Now get ready for the more jaded qualities actually of a lot of characters. Everyone's going to show a bit of their dark side. All the adults are dealing with the teens having a sort of lack of trust for them. Meanwhile at Tree Hill High, spirit week is coming belatedly for the year, and with it will be a lot of ...flareups for the teens. Yes relationships were building nicely, but the fallout of the secret kept from Nathan is going to mess with everyone's harmony. As for the flashbacks of the last chapter, I may conclude that a little early because I'm ready to share what I'm currently writing, the Sunday after Nathan takes off.

WTWC Preview:

"What if she really likes him?"

Peyton finally raised here head. "Then good luck to her because she has no idea what she's getting into."

Brooke smiled mildly. "Natey seems nicer around her sometimes."

Peyton snickered. 'Yeah, sure, until he grows bored, ike he always does. Plus come on Brooke. You heard her talk about him last night. What his uncle said. How he got. He was totally upset."

Brooke started painting in the letters that Peyton handed to her now. She lifted her head up in between strokes. 'Yeah, so?"

"Nathan Scott, Brooke...

****

She walked past them, the two benches, the old wooden one, and the new smooth stone one. Walked past them now barely noticing each. She walked past the sycamores and...the oaks. Even her oak. And came to it. A broken pier. The splinters of wood warning of the dangers ahead. Holding it up now, she looked at it...

And started to remove her shoes.

******

All that had been feeling better just days ago, teasing back and forth with his'uncle', goin to that party with Haley, talking some things over with Lucas, all of that seemed like a whole other world. Stamped on it was the deceit and lies. He had no more tears and wasn't even considering wasting his time getting his eyes near watery. He cried enough last night, feeling like a wild insane out of control person one moment, and a baby the next. Enough. He knew who to blame above all. he knew why to blame. And he knew that his trust was down to 0 now for people like him.

And for others...higher, yeah, but lower than days ago.

He had started to open some and now he was sorry as heck he ever tried. Now it was all closing up again. Now he was Nathan Bad Ass Scott don't you f*&cking mess with me...again. And he could care less who got hurt in the crossfire.

~*~*~

Locket Preview:

  The room had begun to roar under Daniel's powerful hold of it. All over there were loud shouts of NO. His friends were beaming. A new leader was right on the horizon. Peters would be lucky if he lasted the last of the month.

"ARE WE GOING TO LET THE UNIONISTS TAKE WHAT WE HAVE SHED BLOOD AND TEARS FOR? ARE WE MEN?"

"NO!
NO!
NO!
SEND THEM BACK"

"THEY'RE NOT WELCOME IN THE SOUTH!"

Daniel yelled it out with fury and feeling the energy of the room lighting his flame. "THIS IS THE NEW SOUTH MEN! THE NEW! AND WE HAVE A NEW ENEMY!" He quieted down suddenly, speaking in a low even voice that dripped with menace. "Who is that enemy...my friends?"

"THE UNIONS!"

"BASTARDS!"

"NO MORE UNIONIZING!"

OUR BUSINESSES WILL PREVAIL!"

"UNION TRAITORS!"

The room was filledwith men now screaming energetically and pumping their fists in a dangerously angry organized rally cry. And when it began...

Daniel started to smile.

~~~~~~~~~~
Haley watched the seriousness come to Nathan's face, even under the nearly faded sun as daylight took its rest.  She wondered.  "Is that what you would like Nathan?"
He turned to her for a moment before focusing on the road again, less than a quarter mile now from Whitey's house, the mills and  factories passed and in the distance.  "What do you mean?  It's what is expected of me.  I've told you that before."
"But do you want it?"  Haley wasn't certain where her questioning was coming from.  He just didn't seem all that...assured of his obligations.  Maybe somewhat...torn.
"Do you want to work at a mill?"  Nathan countered sharply, feeling an irritation building that he couldn't explain.  He was sorry at his clipped rejoinder though as he saw her face fill with its own irritation.
"I have no choice.  You know that."
Nathan sighed raggedly.  Almost tired by the question.  Weird.  "I'm sorry.  I know.  and you best know if I could get you out of that mill I would.  Honestly Haley, I guess I don't ponder it much, the factory.  You know I've been working there more lately and the work's alright.  Maybe not as alluring as I once thought as a boy, but...it's what is expected of me so...that's that.  Still, sometimes I visit with Keith, you know, I've told you about him plenty, how he made that shoe for me from Red.  I watch him work and sometimes even help him some and...the man, he just has this really free spirit, you know.  I mean, I know nothing of his family or anything.  I just...see that he really loves what he does.  He has this spark in him whenever he fires something up.  He was born to blacksmith.  His hands are just...made with a fire to create.  It's what he was meant to do."
Haley focused on Nathan's profile intently.
He smiled, laughing quietly.  I'm not saying it's work meant for me, mind you!  I'd probably fire up my own hand before I'd make anything with it!"
Haley laughed now too warmly.
"But he's shown me that when you do something you really put your heart into, like Whitey's shown me, you succeed and...everyone around you profits too.  I just don't know yet, honestly...Haley...if the factory work...does that for me.  Makes me feel that spark."
He stopped the horse now as they were in front of Whitey's house.
Haley reached out her hand and touched at Nathan's.  "Maybe you have yet to find it."
Nathan stared at her quietly, his eyes fully on her face now that they were there.  "Maybe."                                                                                                                                                      <br
Hi,
Hope everyone's enjoying their summer.  I just wanted to let you know that an update for Captivated should be coming soon.  I'm always a chapter ahead with this story because each update comes with a preview of the next chapter.  I should be posting soon since the chapter I'm posting is already completed, and the one to come, is nearly completed.
So, Captivated will be my next update.  I'll let you guys know when it's up.  It's fun to write it now because it has such a summery feel and I love writing NH bickering in between lusting for each other or whatever, lol.  And now I'm writing more adventure parts for it and those are tons of fun.
Hi everyone.
If you're an RC member you've probably noticed how the board looks right now.  We have decided we might be completely changing the board's layout because phpBB has some great new ones now.  We found one called Inspiration with soft muted greens that we all like a lot and we hope our members will too.  We'll be previewing it most likely this weekend to get some feedback hopefully.
So since we're going with some new colors, we're going to need some new banners too.  If any of you would be inerested, here's a look in general at the layout we'll be using:
http://www.awesomestyles.com/demo/inspiration?l=en
We're looking for a banner similar to what we have, with the classic One Tree Hill characters and if you can incorporate the actual Rivercourt, great.  If any of you guys are interested in helping, please respond here, at the RC, or send a PM.  I hope to hear from some of you very creative artists.
On a personal note: I changed the layout to my little board for my stories, lol.  I was getting tired of the same look.  I like to change things every once in a while.  It's a little more funky and whimsy now, but I like it.  Just needs a banner.  So if anyone's interested...
Caroline, Muses Realm, if you could make me another one, if you have the time at all, I'd love it.  I adore the one you made me for the other layout and will certainly be keeping it if I go back to that layout.
Thanks for reading everyone.  If you want to help with the banners or have an opinion about RC's layout your comments would be appreciated.
